DreamWorks Dragons: the Series

Dragons: The Series is broken down with eight seasons filling in the gap between How to Train Your dragon I and How to Train Your Dragon II. The first season, which is called Dragons: Riders of Berk, follows after Hiccup discovered dragons could be trained. The Isle of Berk appears to be safe until the people of Berk realized just how many dragons there were actually. A Dragon Training Academy was built to help train the people of Berk to handle dragons, but throughout each day, Hiccup, Toothless, and the rest of his friends are put to the test of dealing with new dragons they never knew about, dragons that can't be trained, new worlds that are a lot different than Berk, and new enemies who want to destroy the peace between both Dragons and Vikings.

Dragons: Defenders of Berk is the second season. While Hiccup and the rest of the Vikings were able to learn how to train and live with Dragons, they now had to learn how to defend against them especially when there are dragons that cannot be trained and new worlds that contain dragons unknown to them.

Seasons 3 through 8 were referred to Dragons: Race to the Edge. This group of episodes takes place three years from the finale of Defenders of Berk. Hiccup and his friends are much older and not living on Berk. Instead, they are living on Dragon's Edge where they eventually discover something new known as the Dragon's Eye which leads them to many more adventures and a lot more dragons no one even knew about. Along with the dragons, though, there is a lot more danger from enemies that want both the Dragon's Eye and the most powerful dragons available. When the series comes to the end, Hiccup and his friends are prepared for what awaits in How to train you dragon II.
